Paleo Turkey Sloppy Joes
Servings 4
Ingredients
- 1 T olive oil
- 1 orange pepper diced
- 1 red onion diced
- 1 T minced garlic
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 14.5 oz can tomato sauce
- 1/4 c coconut aminos or soy sauce for non-Whole30 followers
Instructions

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Add pepper and onion and saute for about 5 minutes, or until softened.

Add garlic and turkey. Break-up turkey into crumbles. Cook for about 8 minutes, or until turkey is browned. Drain and return to skillet over heat.

Add tomato sauce and coconut aminos. Reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally. (**This step of simmering for an extended time is critical to allow the flavors to really come out!)
