Spinach Dip (A slightly ‘lighter’ version)


Spinach Dip is one of my all-time favorite appetizers, but after I accidentally came across the nutrition facts of the restaurant version one time, I was horrified!  Try this (slightly) lighter, and still tasty, version!

Spinach Dip (The Lite Version)


  • 1 10 oz package spinach, chopped in freezer section
  • 1/4 c mayonnaise
  • 2/3 c Green yogurt plain
  • 3/4 c Parmesan cheese
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 1/4 c sour cream reduced fat
  • tortilla chips for dipping


  1. Defrost spinach and squeeze out any excess water, set aside.

  2. Preheat oven to 350F degrees.

  3. Combine mayo, yogurt, Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder in a medium size ceramic baking dish (~32 oz size).  Stir in chopped spinach.

  4. Bake for 20 minutes.

  5. Top with sour cream and serve with chips.
