This recipe promises to get your chicken crispier than anything that comes in a bucket!
Oven "Fried" Chicken
- 6 chicken thighs bone-in, skin on (pictured are chicken quarters)
- 2 T olive oil
- 1 t salt
- 1 t garlic powder
- Optional: black pepper
Preheat oven to 400F degrees.
Line a rimmed cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Rinse chicken off with water and pat dry with a paper towel.
Rub olive oil over chicken. Sprinkle with salt and garlic. Rub over chicken.
Place skin side up on the cookie sheet. Bake for one hour.
Turn on oven broiler. Broil chicken for 5 minutes.
Allow chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
